Kazakh-German University (Almaty) in cooperation with the National Intersectoral Working Group of Kyrgyzstan under the auspices of the World Bank and within the framework of the Central Asia Energy-Water Development Program conducts regional workshop "Geohazards in Water Resources Management in Kyrgyzstan", 19-21 December 2016, which will take place at Kyrgyz-Slavyanskiy University named B.N.Yeltsin in Bishkek.
The seminar is designed for participation of academic, expert and government circles’representatives and puts as main purpose the transfer of practical knowledge to young professionals and teachers from the universities of Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries for its further development in their professional activities. Associated objectives of the seminar are to promote the development of an electronic data base of geohazards in the Kyrgyzstan, as well as the publication of a special issue of the e-journal "Integrated water resources management in Central Asia" dedicated to Geohazards in water resources management in Central Asia.
Opening of the workshop links with the official presentation in Kyrgyzstan of the UNESCO Chair on water resources management in Central Asia, opened in the Kazakh-German University in October this year.
