Dear candidates from Central Asia and Afghanistan!

 We are glad to inform you that the "Integrated Water Management" Master program(MA IWM)at the German-Kazakh University in Almaty (GKU)calls the documents for  submission!

 MA IWM builds upon the knowledge required in undergraduate studies of Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Natural Sciences and Social Science. The Program focuses on interdisciplinary approaches in water management. Students will be involved in the technical knowledge to respond all the relevant institutional, political, legal, ecological and economic issues  that have an impact on water management in Central Asia. The Program's goal  is to train young professionals from Central Asia and Afghanistan, and share the best international practices helping to solve the water and environmental challenges on all the levels. Mainly German academic staff present the high range of experience from Germany and other European countries in the field of sustainable water management. The study program is accompanied by students' active participation in scientific projects and practical field activities. Interactive teaching methods and a high ratio of self-study that make course unique and effective.

The program is designed for a two-year full-time study and takes place at the German-Kazakh University.
