Newton-Al-Farabi Project's Second Meeting: "Water Management Development in the Southern Kazakhstan to Mitigate the Social impacts of Rapid Climate Change"

Newton-Al-Farabi Project's second meeting on "water management development in Southern Kazakhstan to mitigate the social impacts of rapid climate change" will take place in the Kazakh-German University on the 31st of May (Room 27)

This two year long pilot project is funded by the British Council and facilitated by Aberystwyth University, Wales, in cooperation with the NRI. The project aims at (1) creating a network of scientists and researchers who work in the field of water and related areas of research, and (2) researching the Arys river basin comprehensively, attracting international scientists, partner universities of the NRI and young career scientists. The research includes experts in glaciology, dendrochronology, hydrology, forestry, groundwater, meteorology, and social science.
